Introduction to Hardball 2018

For the Y5 hardball grades in 2019-20, we have put together a FREE 90-minute programme (to be run by our Junior Coaching Team) to offer players an initial experience with a hardball and protective gear at the end of the season.  

The session will cover:

  • Equipment familiarisation (pads, gloves, helmet, and abdominal protector)

  • Hard ball familiarisation and dangers

  • Safety procedures during net trainings

  • Fielding skills and techniques

  • Batting and bowling techniques

  • Wicket Keeping skills – glove familiarisation/catching

We will run the session in the 5-lane nets on the CMP E-Block field:

  1. Monday 25th March – 4:30pm to 6:00pm

  2. Wednesday 27th March – 4:30pm to 6:00pm

Junior Super 6's - Cancelled

Due to an insufficient number of registrations we have decided to cancel the Junior Super 6's this season with full intentions to run the event again next year. We appreciate everyone who registered and apologise for any inconvenience.

Registration for the 2018-19 Season is still open .....

... but some junior grades have closed so that our Grade Convenors can assemble the players into teams. If you haven't registered yet but would like to play please register - you might be placed on a wait list and our Grade Convenors will do their absolute best to find a place in a team.  Details of the registration process can be seen by following the Membership>>How to Join button at the top of the screen and full details of the available grades are at Membership>>Grade Info.

2017-18 Members should re-register by following the "Login" button at the top of the left column (there is a handy link on the Login page: "I have forgotten my Username or Password") - please check your details carefully and update any which have changed.  New members should read the information at Membership>>How to Join.

NZ Cricket Helmet Policy

NZ Crcket has issued it's policy regarding wearing of helmets which can be seen here .  Note that this polciy will be compulsory for all cricket in New Zealand from the 2018-19 season.
